"Make some noise for human rights" advertising campaign was made in Hungary to help a concert for human rights organized by Amnesty International.

US president George Bush, North Koreas leader Kim Jong II and Robert Mugabe dictator of Zimbabwe are the figure that seem close their ears in front of the human rights calls. Maybe because it's difficult to encourage changes to the present-day status quo by protesting a long-dead dictator? In any case, I imagine human rights don't matter much to you as long as nobody cuts off power to your XBox 360, so just go right on back to sticking your head in the sand like the fool you are, Eric.

g s you are a typical drinker of the Republican Kool-aid.
The FACT is that the Bush administration made torture a matter of policy, even going so far as to have the attorney general find them ways to get around US anti-torture laws.
Bush also decimated the Bill of Rights, virtually eliminating all the civil rights protected by the Constitution.
It's ignorant morons like you that have turned the Republic party into a cult of non-questioning sheep who will defend absolutely anything their leaders do no matter how blatantly wrong it is.
You have done more damage to America than all the terrorists in the world.

Judging by your rather negative attitudes surrounding the matter, I have thought of a solution that will satisfy the desires and intentions of both camps. Torturing is a pointless endeavour, the man hours needed to extract small quantities of information render the process inefficient and unproductive. Instead, we could just bury them alive (in caskets, in order to protect their rights) with enough food and water for one week. We check up at the end of the week and if we don’t get the information we need, we double the time we leave them underground. Repeat the process (doubling the time constraint, of course) and then after 64 weeks, leave them with nothing and check up on week 128. That way, we can bypass laws regarding death penalties and will most likely extract some useful information. In the event that we do extract information, the informant will be executed for participation in terrorism, after all, he does have the information and therefore he is a part of it. Genius I know, I expect my inbox full of wonderful adaptations. It is this dialogue that makes America a free society. Note: I was being serious.
